The Blackburn Core Mini Pump is built around a wider barrel than its slimmer sibling — 25mm versus 21mm — which means more air per stroke and fewer pumps to reach pressure. That trade-off comes with slightly more resistance per stroke, but for riders running wider tires, it’s the right exchange. At 228mm long, it fits easily in a jersey pocket or bag without taking up much real estate.
The Core is best matched to 30mm road tires or wider — gravel, cyclocross, and mountain bike tires all benefit from the higher volume output. A hose hides inside the barrel when not in use, keeping the pump compact and snag-free, and the screw-on Presta head at the end of the hose makes for a secure connection at the valve. Blackburn backs the pump with a lifetime warranty and keeps replacement parts available, so a worn seal or gasket doesn’t mean buying a new pump.
