The Kogel Bottom Bracket PF30 to 24mm Shallow Gravel/MTB Seals is built for riders who spend time in conditions that punish standard bottom brackets — mud, gravel grit, and wet trails included. The shallow-profile design is intended for metal frames and builds with internal cable routing or a reduced contact area in the shell, where a standard-depth cup would interfere with frame geometry. Ceramic bearings keep friction low and longevity high, with Kogel’s hand-assembly process bringing measurable consistency to each unit.
The wider bearing stance is designed to reduce lateral flex and slow down bearing wear over time — a meaningful advantage when you’re putting real mileage on a gravel or mountain bike. Heavy-duty seals are specced specifically for off-road use, blocking moisture and debris before they can reach the bearing surfaces. A GXP reducer is included, making this compatible with most 24mm crank spindles as well as SRAM GXP cranks on PF30 frames.
